WHO

Hey there! I am Camila, a proud Brazilian-Canadian Wedding & Portrait Photographer, based in Vancouver 🇨🇦 and Juiz de Fora 🇧🇷. I’ve been a photographer for more than 7 years, and what I love the most about this profession is seeing people as their natural selves. I love listening to stories and capturing feelings, in a beautiful way, through eternal pictures.
I believe we choose how we see things, and I always try to be positive and see life as a beautiful and wonderful experience. Since I moved to BC in 2018, I’ve discovered I love being in nature, so whenever I am not shooting or editing you will probably find me hiking with my dog ‘Bro’, swimming in lakes, travelling or skiing.

WHY

I have a bachelor's in Tourism and travelling and exploring new places is a big part of me. However, even after many years as a Photographer, I still believe Photography has found me and is my purpose in life.
It’s cliche but it’s also true to say, that each wedding tells a different story, and every wedding, every photoshoot has this magical energy. The energy of connecting to someone during their happiest moments is something I can’t describe… Being able to be there, to be trusted by you for your special moments is the reason why I love to photograph - Connecting with good people recharges my soul.

HOW

I mainly use natural light and the connection with my awesome clients to capture candid emotions, movements and moments of love. Don’t worry about posing, I will guide you the whole time. I like to edit my photos with light contrast and bright colours, the closest to the real colours of that moment.

Frequent Questions

  • I started in 2016 as a photographer’s assistant and within a few months, I was working as her 2nd photographer at weddings. In the same year, I had the opportunity to shoot my first wedding as the lead photographer and it changed the rest of my life. I truly love my job :)
    I have been mostly photographing couples and weddings, but also shoot maternity, families and brands if requested.

  • You can contact me via email or by filling out the form HERE. You can also schedule a 15 min ‘Meet me’ virtual call to connect and see if we are a good fit.
    To finalize booking it is required a signed contract and a 30% non-refundable retainer to hold your wedding date.
    After booking, I will send you a guide including information and tips for the shoot day.

  • The turnaround depends on how busy I am. Previews will always be given within one week and the rest of the images, typically, for sessions, takes 4 weeks and weddings take 8 weeks. I try to get them back to you as soon as possible.

  • You'll receive a private online gallery, password protected with your edited (contrast, custom studio colour, highlights, crop, clarity and tonal curves) high-resolution files watermark free.

  • I won’t alter the way you look other than skin blemishes or anything temporary that would not normally be there (bruises, acnes etc. If you’re worried about something, please let me know and I’ll be sure to be extra aware of that while posing you.

  • Each one of my packages varies in how many images are delivered, but you can expect a minimum of 100 images for a 2-hour session, and 400 for 4-hour weddings.

  • Yes, for sure! I require 30% retainer to secure your spot on my calendar, and the remaining 70% is due on the week I photograph you. You can split these payments if you’d like. This works for any kind of shoot and wedding. Let’s make it work!

  • Yes, and I love it! Elopements and Destination weddings are my favourites! Discovering new places and shooting in a new light is always fun. Please know, travelling expenses outside of Vancouver are not included in my price.
